Knee Pain

Over the course of their lifetime, many people will experience knee pain and dysfunction. Arthritis, ligament and tendon damage, and osteoarthritis are common culprits. However, traumatic injury also can be a factor.

As a complex collection of fibrocartilage, ligaments, tendons, and muscles, the knee endures the shocks of daily living, but is also vulnerable to athletic injury. In fact, many people have swelling, loss of balance and strength which need to be investigated, as they could be leading indicators of further issues. We can evaluate and treat many of these problems very effectively.

Common knee conditions include:

  • Meniscus or ligament tears
  • Iliotibial (IT) Band Syndrome
  • Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Patellar tendonitis
  • Sprains and strains
  • Bursitis
  • Postoperative conditions
