Chiropractic

Chiropractic uses hands-on spinal manipulation and other alternative treatments to help align the body’s musculoskeletal structure. Mobility is restored to joints formerly restricted by tissue injury caused by a traumatic event or repetitive stresses. In some cases, chiropractic is combined with soft tissue treatment and therapeutic modalities for a more profound effect.

Sports Medicine

Graston Technique®

Soft tissue injuries can be debilitating and frustrating. Graston Technique® is successful in effectively treating all soft tissue conditions, whether they are chronic, acute or post surgical. This non-invasive technique uses specially designed stainless steel instruments to help identify and treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation. As the instruments are moved over the affected area and come in contact with the adhesions, they help break up scar tissue and fascial restrictions.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is a treatment technique used to help resolve soft tissue dysfunction. This unique procedure is designed to specifically target and restore muscle and tissue function. It is essential to correct these issues because continued activity with poor muscle function can lead to further damage and increased pain.

Dry needling can reduce muscle tension and spasms, decrease inflammation, reduce tissue adhesions, and accelerate a patient’s return to active rehabilitation.

Cupping Therapy

Myofascial Cupping is a form of manual therapy in which special cups are placed on your skin to create suction while creating movement. There are many anatomical, physiological and neurological effects of myofascial cupping on connective tissue gliding, tissue traction and tissue decompression. This type of therapy is beneficial for pain relief, inflammation reduction, blood flow, relaxation and well-being.

Fascial Stretch Therapy

Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) is an innovative stretch therapy originally designed for professional athletes.
Unlike massage or other stretching techniques, FST starts at the joint capsule and focuses on planes of tissue and lines of muscles and fascia, not just individual muscles.

Therapeutic Exercise

Deep Tissue Laser

Exercises are essential to restore normal muscle function, normal range of motion, and improve strength. We teach our patients special "blueprint" exercises designed just for them to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem. These exercises can be performed in our office and in the comfort of your own home to drastically improve the effectiveness of your treatment.

Laser Therapy is an FDA cleared modality that reduces inflammation and ultimately results in pain reduction. Laser Therapy is effective in treating acute pain, chronic conditions and post-op pain by using specific wavelengths of light. Light energy enters the damaged cells and utilizes your body’s own healing powers by stimulating cellular activity. This reduces pain in the area and speeds recovery of the damaged cells.

Recovery

Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy is effective for releasing muscle tension that can restrict circulation. A massage session in our office will help relax chronically tense and tightened muscles to promote increased blood flow, flush harmful toxins out of your body, and reinforce the body's natural movements.

In some cases a letter of medical necessity from our office will allow for a reimbursement of expenses from an FSA or health Savings account.

Compression Therapy

Recovery is a big factor in performance and injury prevention. Solano Spine & Sport now offers the secret tool professional athletes use to train harder, recover faster and perform better.
