Chiropractic mainly focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of biomechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system. This encompasses not just the spine, but the entire body. Adjustments (manipulations) are performed with the goal of correcting misalignments, alleviating pain, improving function, and supporting the body’s natural ability to heal itself.
In some cases, we utilize physical therapy modalities such as electrical muscle stimulation and ultrasound to manage symptoms and facilitate the healing process.
Flexion/Distraction Technique is used to treat mechanical injuries and issues involving the lumbar spine. A special treatment table is used that moves up and down, and side to side; providing traction, which mobilizes the spinal and sacro-iliac (SI) joints, addresses disc compression, and decreases spasm in the surrounding soft tissue. Multiple studies have shown this specific technique to decrease intradiscal pressure thereby hydrating a degenerated disc or helping to decrease the severity of disc herniations.
Soft tissue injuries can be debilitating and frustrating. Graston Technique® is successful in effectively treating all soft tissue conditions, whether they are chronic, acute or post surgical. This non-invasive technique uses specially designed stainless steel instruments to help identify and treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation. As the instruments are moved over the affected area and come in contact with the adhesions, they help break up scar tissue and fascial restrictions. Dr. Solano has received extensive training to become a Certified Graston Technique® Specialist.
Dry needling is a treatment technique used to help resolve soft tissue dysfunction. This unique procedure is designed to specifically target and restore muscle and tissue function. It is essential to correct these issues because continued activity with poor muscle function can lead to further damage and increased pain.
Dry needling uses a very fine needle to penetrate the skin and stimulate underlying muscular and connective tissue trigger points. Trigger points are tight bands of skeletal muscles, or “knots,” located within a larger muscle group, and can be tender to the touch. Dry needling can reduce muscle tension and spasms, decrease inflammation, reduce tissue adhesions, and accelerate a patient’s return to active rehabilitation.
Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST)
Unlike massage or other stretching techniques, FST starts at the joint capsule and focuses on planes of tissue and lines of muscles and fascia, not just individual muscles.

Deep Tissue Laser Therapy
Laser Therapy is an FDA cleared modality that reduces inflammation and ultimately results in pain reduction. Laser Therapy is effective in treating acute pain, chronic conditions and post-op pain by using specific wavelengths of light. Light energy enters the damaged cells and utilizes your body’s own healing powers by stimulating cellular activity. This reduces pain in the area and speeds recovery of the damaged cells. Once the cells recover, the healing process is complete. The swelling is greatly reduced and there is a rapid relief of pain. Over 100 professional and collegiate teams utilize the LightForce™ Deep Tissue Therapy Laser to keep their athletes in the game and performing at a high level, including 16 current NFL teams. These teams are using laser therapy to achieve quick and lasting pain relief for acute conditions, chronic ailments and to accelerate post-surgical recovery.
