Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic medicine uses hands-on spinal manipulation and other alternative treatments to help align the body’s musculoskeletal structure. Mobility is restored to joints formerly restricted by tissue injury caused by a traumatic event or repetitive stresses.

Graston Technique®

Soft tissue injuries can be debilitating and frustrating. Graston Technique® is successful in effectively treating all soft tissue conditions, whether they are chronic, acute or post surgical. This non-invasive technique uses specially designed stainless steel instruments to help identify and treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation. As the instruments are moved over the affected area and come in contact with the adhesions, they help break up scar tissue and fascial restrictions.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is a treatment technique used to help resolve soft tissue dysfunction. This unique procedure is designed to specifically target and restore muscle and tissue function. It is essential to correct these issues because continued activity with poor muscle function can lead to further damage and increased pain.

Dry needling can reduce muscle tension and spasms, decrease inflammation, reduce tissue adhesions, and accelerate a patient’s return to active rehabilitation.

Cupping Therapy

Myofascial Cupping is a form of manual therapy in which special cups are placed on your skin to create suction while creating movement. There are many anatomical, physiological and neurological effects of myofascial cupping on connective tissue gliding, tissue traction and tissue decompression. This type of therapy is beneficial for pain relief, inflammation reduction, blood flow, relaxation and well-being.

Physical Rehabilitation

Exercises are essential to restore normal muscle function, normal range of motion, and improve strength. We teach our patients special "blueprint" exercises designed just for them to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem. These exercises can be performed in our office and in the comfort of your own home to drastically improve the effectiveness of your treatment. Whether it's posture correction, prehab before a procedure, or post-operative recovery, we are here to help.

Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST)

Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) is an innovative stretch therapy originally designed for professional athletes.
Unlike massage or other stretching techniques, FST starts at the joint capsule and focuses on planes of tissue and lines of muscles and fascia, not just individual muscles.

Who benefits from FST?
  • Professional Athletes
  • Weekend Warriors
  • People with tight hips
  • People who spend much of their day sitting
  • People with lower back pain
  • Frozen shoulder & impingement

Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy is effective for releasing muscle tension that can restrict circulation. A massage session in our office will help relax chronically tense and tightened muscles to promote increased blood flow, flush harmful toxins out of your body, and reinforce the body's natural movements. It is a compliment to chiropractic care in our office.
Massage Therapy is typically not a covered benefit through traditional health insurance. However, in some cases a letter of medical necessity from our office will allow for a reimbursement of expenses from an FSA or health Savings account. Contact us for details frontdesk@solanospine.com

Deep Tissue Laser Therapy

Laser Therapy is an FDA cleared modality that reduces inflammation and ultimately results in pain reduction. Laser Therapy is effective in treating acute pain, chronic conditions and post-op pain by using specific wavelengths of light. Light energy enters the damaged cells and utilizes your body’s own healing powers by stimulating cellular activity. This reduces pain in the area and speeds recovery of the damaged cells. Once the cells recover, the healing process is complete. The swelling is greatly reduced and there is a rapid relief of pain.

Kinesiology Taping

This method successfully treats a variety of orthopedic, neuromuscular, neurological and other medical conditions, and it not only offers the support patients are looking for, but also rehabilitation of the affected condition as well. By targeting different receptors within the somatosensory system, the taping method alleviates pain and facilitates lymphatic drainage by microscopically lifting the skin. This lifting effect forms convolutions in the skin, thus increasing interstitial space and allowing for a decrease in inflammation of the affected areas.

Custom Orthotics

We are experts when it comes to balancing you from the ground-up. Our orthotics are custom-made foot-supporting devices that have been specifically molded and designed for an individual's feet. They allow the muscles, tendons and bones of your feet and body to function at their highest potential. When appropriately prescribed, orthotics can decrease pain and increase stability as well as preventing potential progression or development of a multitude of conditions.
